An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a growing business. The successful candidate will handle a wide variety of accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial administration while providing valuable support to the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify, code, and process invoices

Prepare and issue cheque payments

Manage staff expenses efficiently

Maintain and update supplier account records

Reconcile supplier statements and company bank statements

Organise and maintain invoice and document filing systems

Manage petty cash and associated records
-
Perform precise data entry tasks
-
Act as the first point of contact for finance-related queries
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers

Review and improve existing systems and processes

Assist with general administrative duties including phone and mail handling
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- AAT Level 3 qualification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounts role
- Strong bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in SAGE Accounts
- Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines
- A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
- Full UK Driving Licence
