We have a fabulous new Marketing & Press Assistant role working with an international company with ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing & Press Assistant will be accountable for the visitor and exhibitor marketing output for the business and be responsible for maintaining the brand within the UK exhibition press, industry press, and support event marketing with campaigns and projects.

The role will be hybrid, with 2 days at home and 3 days in the Guildford office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Visitor Targets by implementing the UK marketing plan for international shows.
  • Assist achieving Sales Targets through building and executing multi-channel exhibitor marketing plan for each show.
  • Raise and maintain profile of the company.

 

Experience Required:

  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Digital skills
  • Project planning
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse data and draw conclusions – Excel

  • Proactive, able to anticipate needs and expectations ahead of time

  • An understanding of marketing, ideally event marketing

 

Experience:

  • Successfully managing projects
  • Demonstrating organisation and attention to detail
  • Great writing and verbal communication skills.  You should be confident in writing technical copy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
  • Good IT skills.  You will be using content management systems, databases and email software
  • Commercial acumen to develop marketing initiatives
  • Ambition to develop your marketing career
  • Flexibility to accommodate extended working hours as needed around key show times
