Project Coordinator

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to assist in managing key projects from start to finish. This role will involve working closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth project execution, including coordinating resources, managing schedules, and keeping projects on track. The successful candidate will be a key part of the team, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with quality expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to handle day-to-day project operations and ensure alignment with overall project goals
  • Organize and oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, subcontractors, and materials, to support project progress
  • Track and update project budgets and timelines, working with the Project Manager to address any potential issues
  • Monitor project scope and ensure any changes are documented and addressed promptly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, ensuring it is easily accessible to all stakeholders
  • Adapt project plans to meet changing demands and ensure continuous project flow
  • Serve as a point of contact for the project team, ensuring clear communication between contractors, consultants, and other parties
  • Coordinate the timely submission of financial documentation, including invoices and payment applications
  • Assist with interpreting project drawings to facilitate material orders and planning
  • Develop risk assessments and safety plans specific to each project, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Travel to project sites, attend meetings, and engage with key stakeholders as required
  • Offer support across different teams or departments as needed to ensure project success

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with project management processes, such as budgeting, scheduling, and procurement
  • Familiarity with creating and maintaining project documentation, including risk assessments and safety plans
  • Ability to manage changes in scope and adapt plans to meet project needs
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites and locations as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • CSCS Card (desired but not essential)
