Management Accountant

A new opportunity has arisen for an accomplished part-qualified Management Accountant to take on a key role supporting costing for both current and upcoming projects. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position plays a vital part in supporting data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, possess strong systems knowledge, and communicate effectively across departments. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate project costings and budgets
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) across business projects
• Provide insightful financial reports and variance analysis to support decision-making
• Work closely with project managers and operational teams to ensure financial control
• Support the month-end process including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Assist in forecasting and financial planning activities
• Develop and maintain robust financial systems and processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Support the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in project accounting
• Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Commercially aware with a proactive, problem-solving approach
